چکیده

This study investigated the production of biogas from food waste co-digested with potash and cow dung as inoculant. The aim this was to determine amount generated substrate. Experimental research design used it carried out at Uturu, Abia State, Nigeria. 4% 12% concentrations substrate were mixed fed into anaerobic digesters labeled B1 B9 for 90days. Result ultimate analysis showed oxygen (41.33%,14.06%), nitrogen (3.23%,1.48%), carbon (36.50%,29.67%) PH value(6.25, 8.47) respectively. quantity in different (B1-B9) 1341.2, 1668, 1784.5, 1945.2, 1941.7, 2159.2, 2328.1 2428.5m3/day Analysis Covariance (ANCOVA) model volume that there significant contributions predicting produced F (9,611) = 2684.28 p-value <0.0001. effect on revealed an increase gas by substrates added. Digester lowest potash, 1341.2m3/day while highest flame test burned a blue flame. findings can be co-digestion waste, dung. Thus, could have helped boost production. More studies should done how local organic materials useful more biogas.

Production of Biogas from Poultry Waste

It is inevitable that with large volume and high density poultry productions, there will be large quantities of poultry waste produced in Kathmandu and throughout Nepal. Poultry waste produced as the daily feeding of chicken both from broilers and layers in the country is largely used as organic manure for agricultural purposes. The poultry industry is growing day by day concentrated within the...

Sustainability assessment of biogas production from buffalo grass and dung: biogas purification and bio-fertilizer

Biomass from wetland aquatic grass and buffalo grass can be exploited for biogas production, because this substrate is plenteous and does not compete with food production. In this study, the grass substrate was physically pretreated by boiling with different retention time to increase its biodegradability and was examined in batch mode. Boiling pretreatment suggested that 100 °C with 2 h retent...
